+ THE LETTER OF ST. JAMES STUDY +

St. James was the kinsman of Jesus of Nazareth and first Christian Bishop of the Church in Jerusalem. In his letter to the “12 tribes” of Israel living in the Gentile world, he calls God’s holy people into the New Covenant in Christ by offering them a teaching that is consistent with the Old Law of Moses but framed in the context of the New Law of Jesus Christ. St. James offers practical instruction on:
      · How to control anger
      · How true faith must be alive and active and expressed in good deeds
      · How right living requires the exercise of right doctrine
      · How material wealth can seriously weaken spiritual health
His message is as relevant to Christians today as it was to the first Christians of the Church of Jesus Christ in the 1st century AD.

Catechist credit is available for this study and all Agape Bible Studies.
